Their mobile water system, which is placed on a normal car trailer, can produce up to 1,000 liters of drinking water per hour even from raw, heavily polluted, or salty water. The whole automatic process includes effective sand filtration, reverse osmosis to remove heavy poisons and salts, antibacterial treatment using accurate chlorine doses, and adding back healthy minerals through dolomite so the water is not only clean, but also safe for long-term drinking. Where resources or the situation do not allow this, we use smaller mobile disinfection units that at least remove bacteria and viruses.

Where we have already helped and where we are going

We always send our equipment directly to places where the humanitarian crisis is currently worst and where standard aid systems fail. In the recent period, we focused our main efforts on equipping health centers, keeping temporary schools open, and especially supporting heavily affected areas without working infrastructure in Ukraine. Here, our water treatment plants, solar generators, and delivered medical supplies clearly help keep dozens of people alive every day.

However, our work does not end there. Thanks to our local partners in the field and the strong support of our technical partner, we are step by step expanding our work to other affected continents. Our next goal is to secure this permanent access to clean water, for example, for endangered schools in developing areas of Africa, in places where other organizations already work and can manage the operation on site.

When people drink heavily polluted water, the impact on their health is terrible and very fast. Within just a few hours, severe stomach and gut problems begin. But that is only the start of much more serious problems.

The situation is most dangerous for young children whose immune systems are still growing; because of fast water loss, their basic body functions start to fail. The sad truth is that every 6 seconds, a child under five years old dies somewhere in the world, and infections and severe diarrhea from dirty water are among the main-yet completely preventable-causes.

We do not plan impossible things. We know that we will not save the whole world or build water networks and pipes everywhere. However, we focus on a solution that works long-term and makes financial sense. We do not transport water in tanks. Thanks to your support, it will not just be that "someone unknown gets a drink." • To field and temporary hospitals: Where a steady supply of clean water is the absolute basic need to do safe operations without the deadly risk of dangerous infections after surgery.
• To destroyed and temporary schools: Which cannot open at all without working toilets and clean drinking water, and so fail to give traumatized children a safe place to learn.
• To areas hit by destruction and extreme drought: Where our filtering equipment used directly in the field can replace kilometers of water pipes that were bombed or flooded.

Implementing logistical and humanitarian rescue projects directly in severe crisis areas brings specific operational and security risks. Based on our field experience, mostly from war zones and places hit by natural disasters, we have a clear and practice-tested plan ready for every expected threat:

Risk: Destruction, loss, or drying up of fixed water sources. We do not focus on building normal, fixed deep wells. Fixed infrastructure is a huge risk in areas with unstable security and climate conditions. If the frontline moves, or if the underground source dries up, the whole investment is lost forever. For that reason, we only use mobile treatment plants and filtration units connected to already available sources of surface or non-drinking water. Our whole system is designed so that if there is a threat or a change in local needs, it can be immediately packed up, moved, and used again exactly where it is needed most.

Risk: Sudden change in the local security situation. We personally oversee the setup of each of our projects and take responsibility for it. To accurately find safe locations, install the equipment, and continuously monitor that the treatment units work properly, we work closely with thoroughly checked local organizations and rescue services. They know the local situation and changing security conditions much better than any outside observer. They are in charge of the equipment and can move it if they decide it is necessary or more efficient.

Risk: Lack of fuel and total power grid failure stopping the water plants from working. Simply buying a water treatment plant is not enough if there is no power to run it in the middle of a destroyed area without electricity. We actively prevent this dangerous risk by systematically providing independent energy sources along with the filtration and pumping systems. These include portable solar systems, smart battery stations, and standard generators. This ensures energy independence and keeps the water plants running even during massive blackouts. For larger water treatment plants, water is produced in advance, so it is enough for the power source to run, for example, just once a week. In the meantime, the energy source can be used for another purpose. On top of that, the whole system can be continuously expanded.
